ABOUT US

The Brisbane Retro Ride was established in 2013 by Queensland Cyclist and Public Health Advocate, Holly Greenwood.

The aim of the ride is to get the Brisbane cycling community to come together once a year in their best retro attire to raise money for World Bicycle Relief.

World Bicycle Relief is an organization mobilizing people through The Power of Bicycles. The money raised helps to provide specially designed, locally assembled bicycles to students, healthcare workers and entrepreneurs in rural Africa; connecting them with education, healthcare and economic opportunities.

In 2013, the Brisbane Retro Ride bought together forty lycra-clad cyclists, and raised $670.

In 2014, the ride was again a huge success. Sixty cyclists took part, and $1146 was raised. This was a 58% increase from 2013.

At present this is a yearly event. If you would like to become involved please get in touch with Holly via the contact page.
